Horizons Photo Conference

I'll be speaking at the Horizons Fall Photography Conference in Durango, Colorado, October 2-5. This conference gathers some of the most talented nature, landscape, and wildlife photographers from around the world for an unforgettable weekend of learning, connection, and exploration! As a bonus, you'll be in the heart of beautiful mountain scenery during peak autumn foliage, so you'll have plenty of opportunities to practice your new skills.

Watch my interview with conference organizers Martha Montiel and Shanda Akin below to find out more about the conference and all the amazing benefits it offers to photographers.

If you have any trouble watching the video above, you can also watch it here.

My presentation at the conference is called The Art of Photography. Great photography happens when you show people something they haven't seen before. Making great photos isn't just about literally finding things that people haven't laid eyes on before; it involves seeing things differently and learning how to translate your creative vision into something that can be appreciated by others. This is the very essence of what makes photography special and unique among art forms. And, it all starts with learning how to see the world with fresh eyes.

In my presentation, I draw on my deep well of 20 years of experience and hard-earned wisdom to share my best secrets for crafting meaningful and impactful images of our natural world. I'll illustrate my talk with some of my favorite photos from my travels around the world, and I'll also share pragmatic tips you can use to elevate your own craft.

I hope to see you this fall at the Horizons Photography Conference!
