Blackwater Falls in West Virginia. The falls is in a lovely state park. There is an upper viewpoint from which this was taken and a viewpoint close to the falls which has about 200 steps to get down and back up again. We went to that viewpoint about 3 years ago when we were last in West Virginia. It was not fun. This year we stayed high. I actually like this better than the photo I took last time because it permitted a wider view of the great foliage.
