Controlling Contrast in Lightroom

One of the most common photo editing mistakes made by photographers is with contrast; they either have too little or too much contrast in their images, and very rarely do they get contrast right. In this webinar, Ian will discuss several ways that you can control contrast in your photos, and more importantly, he'll discuss when it might be appropriate to increase or decrease contrast depending on the scene or subject photographed. Ian will discuss and demonstrate contrast adjustments within the Light panel, including how to set the white and black points of your images (and when it is appropriate or not to do so). Ian will also demonstrate controlling contrast using the Curves panel, and with the Texture, Clarity, and Dehaze tools found in the Effects panel (and how each is different and examples of when each tool is appropriate). Finally, Ian will discuss how you can enhance contrast through tonal and color separation. This class will give you a better understanding of how you can use contrast as a creative variable when taking photos.    PRO Members get immediate access to this and all other courses.
