Urquhart Caste, built in the 13th century, lies on a headland overlooking Loch Ness in the Highlands of Scotland. It was involved in many conflicts, having been held and conquered by Scots and the English. It was partially destroyed in 1692 and stands in ruins today. Beautiful to see on the grounds and from a boat on the Loch.
