Thank you. The forecast predicted rain on two weather apps and two others predicted fog, so I rolled the dice and lucked out. There was a gap on the horizon but the sun never really broke through and lit up the clouds. As far as the midges, that seems to be spot on. We did Scotland and Iceland a few weeks ago and the Highlands were buzzing with them.

My niece spent a lot of time in Scotland and told me to always bring one of those mosquito nets you can throw over a hat and that covers your face. I keep one in my camera bag.
