Very nice use of a long exposure to capture the swirls. The swirl creates this great curving shape. I think a wider angle of view would have been helpful here, to include the entire curve (the curve shape is partially cut off in the lower left). Or, you could reframe this by cropping the image to focus attention more on the smaller swirl in the middle right, something like this:
With this crop, I also like how the diagonal line leads in from the lower left.
Thanks Ian. I do have a wider version of this shot however I clipped the left corner of the swirl as well 😮 Let me know your thoughts on the wider version. thanks Andrea
I like the wider version. Is there a reason that the top of the waterfall is cropped out? I'm guessing maybe you were trying to avoid having sky in your composition? If that was the case, then that was a good choice, but if you had more room at the top without getting sky in the shot, I would have tried to include the entire waterfall within the image frame.
There is a footbridge over the falls and in the backgroup there is a house with an ugly blue tarp over the roof so I thought it was better to crop all that out
Beautiful. Is this in Iceland?
Really nice image
