A Snowy Egret in the swamp at the Stick Marsh in Fellsmere, Florida. These are my favorite Egrets here in Florida. I love their black legs with yellow feet that look like fancy shoes (you can't see them here as it is in the water), and I like how their feathers stand up in the wind.
Perfect exposure and lovely pose! These white birds can be such a challenge to expose correctly, and you did the right thing, letting the background go relatively dark to protect the highlights on the bird. Great shot!
