I was downtown (Sacramento, Ca) photographing the New Year's fireworks but I was not happy with my current spot and there were too many people to find a new spot to photograph from. That is when I decided I would take in the show instead of trying to capture anything. I turned around and noticed the reflections of the fireworks in the building windows. That is when I picked up my tripod and worked my way to the back of the crowd and pointed my camera in the opposite direction from where everyone else was looking. This shot is the Grand Finale of the fireworks reflected in the windows. It is very possible that if I was in a different spot, my viewing angle would have been different resulting in not as strong reflections.
