Have you ever done a complete pipe replacement in your house or apartment? I've read that sometimes old pipes can cause low water pressure or a strange water color, and I'm wondering how much of a headache it is to replace all the plumbing - like, do you have to tear up all the walls, or is it not as dramatic as it sounds?

Yeah, I had to completely replace the pipes at my old place last year. The water pressure was terrible and the water had a weird rusty tint to it - just disgusting. Honestly, I thought I was going to have to tear down half the house, but it wasn't as dramatic as I expected. The crew from a company like https://superbrothers.com/repipe-services/ made everything go pretty smoothly. They used PEX pipe, which reduced the amount of wall opening. It took a few days, but the clean and powerful water flow was worth it.
