I captured this image on one very cold January morning on the Buffalo River in Island Park, ID just west of Yellowstone N.P. The buffalo river is 100% spring fed, so it never freezes over in winter no matter how cold it gets. It is 55 degrees in temperature year-round. As a result in winter, you get these amazing clouds of steam coming off the river and up into the trees. My settings were ISO 100, F/22,1/80 sec. No ND filter was used.
