Flowers by the lake at the Innisfree Garden in Millbrook, New York. This beautiful naturalistic garden's design was inspired by Chinese gardens. The garden also has streams, waterfalls, terraces, rock walls and boulders. Most of the plants are native and rocks come from the local forest. Tyrrel Lake is a large deep glacial lake. There are also a number of interesting water features. During the Pleaides meteor shower the garden was open during one peak night for visitors to watch the heavenly display. It also opened at night for moon viewing during the Autumnal Equinx in September and will be opening on October 9 an hour before sunrise so visitors can observe the golden light dramatically flooding the garden. These events require reservations.
