The Glossy Ibis in mating plumage is a very elegant bird. How could any female resist a guy with such glittery silver plumage? In order to photograph it, however, the light has to be just right. If the Ibis is backlit, it will appear black. If the light is on the bird, it still might not be at an angle that shows off its fancy feathers. I was lucky that the light on this guy was just right to show what a handsome bird he is.
