Thanks very much for the comments, Ian. I like your version very much. I do have a certain fondness for my photo since within five minutes of taking it the fog had covered both mountains, leaving only the red house sitting in the middle of the water. No chance for retakes.

The Halong Bay photo was taken from a seaplane at sunset which is intense on the bay. Between the sunset light and, I suspect, the tinting on the airplane window, the photo already had a very reddish cast. Instead of removing the colorcast, I decided to saturate the color a bit. I thought the result had a slightly jewel-like quality to it.

Hi Ian, I missed the last webinar because of travel but I just caught up with it online. Thanks very much for the shout out on my Lofoten photo. If it's any consolation, I walked to that photo from the left and at first tried to align the pitched roof of the red house with the peak of the mountain in the background. Because of the angle needed to include the peak, I could not get a good angle on the house -- the roofline would not square up. I think you might have gotten the shot you wanted from a boat but not the shore. If you try it again and succeed, I'd like to see it. Thanks again.
