Cypress trees at dawn on Blue Cypress Lake, Florida. In the interest of transparency, the reflections were dark and murky. I used a filter in Photoshop Plugins called Flood to create a more pleasing reflection. Don't know if this forum has rules about such alterations.
Hi Fran, I don't have any official rules about it, I think what you did - disclosing it - is the way to go. I think the image looks lovely. The Flood plugin does make things look better, but it also doesn't quite look natural (for starters, a reflection naturally is a bit darker than the reflected scene, while here with the plugin the reflection looks as bright as the scene above).
I think the downside of these special FX plugins is that when people start using them a lot, the effect becomes recognizable.
But it sure looks great!
