I don't usually do studio model shots, but last weekend a Meetup group was doing photos of ballet in the Degas style. There is currently an exhibit of Degas and Manet at the Metropolitan Museum in NY. To try to get the soft look of Impressionist painting, I put an old nylon stocking over my lens. This is really an old school technique. Did it work?
